The inhomogeneous nature of composites requires large numbers of mechanical tests in order to properly characterize the material properties. LSI is able to provide test solutions from basic tensile, compression and shear test, to structural tests such as open hole tension/compression, inter-laminar fracture toughness, compression after impact, as well as dynamic fatigue tests in accordance with widely adopted ASTM and ISO standards. Systems equipped with adjustable alignment fixtures ensure compliance with audit programs such as Nadcap AC7122/1.
