Test Type

Bending Test
The composite bending test is a critical method for evaluating the resistance to bending deformation and fracture, enabling the acquisition of key parameters such as flexural modulus. It primarily adheres to relevant ASTM standards (e.g., ASTM C393 for flexural strength testing of honeycomb core sandwich materials) and is suitable for verifying the performance of various composite structures.
The test can rely on LSI's professional solutions. The test fixtures are made of high-quality steel and precision-machined to strictly control fit tolerances and surface finish, effectively minimizing interfering factors such as parasitic stress and misalignment, thus ensuring reliable test data. For strain measurement, LSI's video extensometers (such as the LVE801C and LVE251C) are recommended. They achieve non-contact measurement through digital image analysis, avoiding damage or additional loading to the specimen, and can track until specimen failure, further enhancing data accuracy and consistency.
The test procedures and software fully comply with the latest international standards and the requirements of OEMs such as Boeing and Airbus. The results provide authoritative data support for considering the flexural performance of composite materials in structural design.
