LI5282I 280J Instrumented Falling Weight Impact Testing Machine

The LI5282I 280J Instrumented Drop Weight Impact Testing Machine is designed for composite and non-metallic material impact testing, offering up to 280 J impact energy, instrumented data acquisition, and reliable single-impact analysis.

Overview

The LI5282I 280J Instrumented Drop Weight Impact Testing Machine is used to evaluate the impact damage resistance of non-metallic materials, especially standard and non-standard composite plate specimens. The system records and analyzes force, displacement, time, velocity, and energy data during the impact process, helping users understand material behavior under drop-weight impact loading.

Designed to meet the requirements of ASTM, EN, ISO and ASTM D7136/D7136M-15, the tester integrates a rigid frame, instrumented striker, specimen fixture, speed measurement, high-speed data acquisition, PLC control, PC software, and safety protection. It is suitable for laboratories requiring higher-energy instrumented impact testing with efficient control and clear result curves.

Features

280 J Impact Energy Range
• Supports 4 J–280 J impact testing for composite panels and non-metallic specimens.
Instrumented Impact Measurement
• Integrated load sensor and high-speed acquisition system capture the impact process and generate key test curves.
Secondary Impact Prevention
• The catching mechanism helps stop striker rebound and supports reliable single-impact test results.
Standard Fixture and Striker Design
•  ASTM D7136-compliant fixture and φ16 mm hemispherical striker support composite plate impact testing.
Safe and Flexible Operation
• PLC touch screen, PC control, transparent protective enclosure, and safety interlock improve daily operation and protection.

Application
