High-Temperature Fatigue Test

High-Temperature Fatigue Test

In automotive R&D, it is crucial to understand the behavior of various materials under normal temperature and operating temperature conditions. Many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have unique temperature requirements for all components.

High-Temperature Strain Measurement

Based on your requirements and the type of high-temperature furnace, a variety of strain gauges are available for selection. If the high-temperature furnace has openings on the side, lateral extensometers can be used:extend the long ceramic arms of the extensometer into the furnace, with the remaining parts placed outside.

High-Temperature Fatigue Test

It is particularly important in scenarios where a component or part of a component fails due to relatively few (i.e., approximately <10⁵) cycles of mechanically or thermally induced cyclic plastic strain.Information obtained from controlled-strain fatigue tests serves as a key element in establishing design criteria to prevent component failure due to fatigue.
